HHS

AS A COURTESY TO THE HELOTES HUMANE SOCIETY (HHS), WE WILL OCCASIONALLY POST INFORMATION ON RESCUED CATS AND DOGS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.

Josie's Looking for Her Forever Home

JOSIE  is a 2 year old, female Boxer mix who weighs 45 pounds.  She was found as a stray in fair condition.  It appeared that she had just had puppies, but no puppies were ever found.  She was very skittish at first, but with a little food she was coaxed to accept her foster caregivers.  Josie is sweet and playful.  She loves playing with toys and bones and will entertain herself with various things.  She is very affectionate and wants to be loved on all the time.  She will cuddle and loves attention and would be very content having her belly rubbed all day.  Josie is being crate and house trained.  She walks on a lead.  She is tolerant of the neighborhood kids petting her on her walks, but we’re not sure how she would react to toddlers.  Her foster home has two cats, and she has never shown aggression toward them.  Josie can be very protective of her new foster family and house, though she is well-behaved when out of her territory.  Ideally, she should be the only dog in the home and get lots of attention from her family.  If you would like more information about Josie, contact the HHS at 210-422-6242 or by email at hhsanimals@yahoo.com.  Please visit their website at www.hhsanimals.org to see pictures and get information on their other animals.  All HHS animals receive vaccinations, testing, and altering appropriate for their ages, and all pets are microchipped prior to placement.

Zeke

ZEKE is about 3 years old and weighs 70 pounds.  He’s a big, handsome boy who is a perfect house-dog, very obedient, very smart – generally a great dog.  He is also great on a lead, recalls in the field, knows his basic commands, great in the car, stays when told, even when a squirrel or cat darts by, and is fine with kitties and puppies after he gets to sniff them!  The only problem with Zeke is he’s scared of thunderstorms.  He has been OK when hanging out with his foster mom during a storm, and she has tranquilizers for him when he has to be alone.  For more information on Zeke, please contact his foster mom, Anne, at 210-887-8041 or by email at abaumgartner2008@yahoo.com.

Brady

BRADY is a playful boy who is 14 weeks old (born on February 24, 2010 – Bradley’s brother??).  He is litter box trained and eating dry cat food.  He is super sweet and just beautiful!  If you would like more information about Brady, contact the HHS at 210-422-6242 or by email at hhsanimals@yahoo.com.   All HHS animals receive vaccinations, testing, and altering appropriate for their ages, and all pets are microchipped prior to placement.

Bradley

BRADLEY is an energetic 14 week old boy (born on February 24, 2010 – maybe Brady’s brother??).  He is litter box trained and eating dry cat food.  He is an adorable, cuddly kitten.  He loves to explore and play with toys.  If you would like more information about Bradley, contact the HHS at 210-422-6242 or by email at hhsanimals@yahoo.com.   All HHS animals receive vaccinations, testing, and altering appropriate for their ages, and all pets are microchipped prior to placement.
